Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use carefully. By creating an account or using the Flows mobile application and related services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Flows App ("Flows," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use the Service, you must create an account using one of our supported authentication methods (phone number, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In). You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

3.2 Referral Code

Access to Flows requires a valid referral code from an existing user or an authorized promotional code. Referral codes are subject to usage limits and may be revoked at our discretion.

3.3 Profile Completion

You must complete a multi-step profile registration, including providing personal information, photos, and answering verification questions. Profiles are subject to review and approval through our waitlist process.

4. User Conduct and Community Guidelines

4.1 General Conduct

You agree to use the Service in a respectful, lawful, and genuine manner. You must not:

RULE: COMMUNITY INTEGRITY — You must be a genuine member of the community and engage authentically with other members. Creating fake profiles, misrepresenting your identity, or joining with malicious intent will result in immediate account termination.

If you encounter a user who violates these Terms or makes you feel unsafe, you can block and/or report them through the app. We investigate all reports and may take action including warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent account termination.

5. Connections, Messaging, and Interactions

5.1 Connections

Flows uses your profile information and preferences to suggest community members you may want to connect with. We do not guarantee any specific number of connections or the quality of interactions. Connection algorithms may change at any time.

5.2 Messaging

You may send messages to members you have connected with. Messages are encrypted for your privacy. You are solely responsible for the content of your messages. We reserve the right to review messages if a report is filed.

5.3 No Guarantee

Flows is a platform for facilitating community connections. We do not guarantee that you will find any particular connection or outcome. We are not responsible for the behavior of any member, whether online or offline.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

6.1 Free and Premium Features

Flows offers both free features and optional premium membership plans. Premium features may include unlimited connection requests, seeing who is interested in connecting with you, profile highlights, advanced filters, read receipts, and private browsing mode.

6.2 Payment Processing

All subscription purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the payment terms of the respective app store. We do not directly collect or store your payment card information.

6.3 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's app store settings.

6.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store in accordance with their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

6.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will not affect existing active subscriptions until their renewal date.

7. User Content

7.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service (photos, text, messages). By submitting content, you grant Flows a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely in connection with operating and providing the Service.

7.2 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all content you create, upload, or share on the platform, including profile information, photos, messages, posts, and comments. You must not post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

7.3 Content Moderation

We actively monitor and moderate user-generated content to maintain community standards. We reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict access to any content that violates our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines without prior notice. Users can report objectionable content or abusive behavior using the in-app reporting feature available on profiles, posts, chats, and events. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

7.4 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, without prior notice. We may also remove content in response to valid legal requests.

8. Safety and User Interactions

Your safety is important to us. However, we cannot guarantee the identity, background, or intentions of any user. You are responsible for your own safety when interacting with other users, both online and in person.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, logos, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by Flows App and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

10.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your profile will be removed from the Service, and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

If your account is terminated for a violation, you are not entitled to a refund of any subscription fees.

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State in which Flows App is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14.2 Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to first contact us at legal@flowsapp.com to attempt to resolve the issue informally within 30 days.

14.3 Arbitration

If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and Flows agree to resolve any claims through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

15. Waitlist and Approval Process

After completing registration, your profile may be placed on a waitlist for review. Approval is at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to reject any application without providing a reason. Being placed on the waitlist does not guarantee access to the Service.

Users may invite others to join Flows using their unique referral code. By participating in the referral program, you agree to:

17. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store, social sign-in providers). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party services.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and Flows regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
